The big holiday shopping season officially kicks-off on
Friday with Black Friday. That means we will all be trying to find the perfect
gifts for our loved ones without going broke. Thankfully, there are some things
we can do to make thing easier this season. Take a look at my tips for holiday
shopping on a budget.
* Shop early. That means you don’t have to wait until Black
Friday to begin purchasing gifts. I have actually bought a few things for
Christmas already since there was such a good deal on them. I also plan to go
shopping on Friday and will probably browse online on Cyber Monday.
* Shop around. I’m big on comparing prices and getting the
best deal. I still need to look at the ads for Friday and come up with a
shopping plan/schedule for the day to get the best deals.
* Look for deals. Don’t just wait for something to go on
sale if you are afraid that the item will sell-out. Instead, you can look for
some general coupons or discounts that can be used towards your purchase of it.
* Stick to the budget. If you know you can only spend $75 on
a gift for someone, then don’t plan on purchasing a $100 item in hopes of being
able to pay it off in the new year. Look at your finances and understand what
you can afford before you head to the store. Then, don’t overspend when you get
there.
* H&R Block Emerald Advance credit line 2012 – 2013. If
all else fails and you still have to purchase some gifts that are a little out
of your budget right now, then you may want to consider the H&R Block
Emerald Advance. Beginning today (November 19th), you can get up to $1000 cash
in time for the holidays from H&R Block. The cash advance can help you get
the best deal on that big ticket item if you see it’s on sale on Friday but you
don’t get paid until Monday. All you need to apply is a valid photo ID and your
most recent pay stub (no W2 form required!). You don’t even need to be an
H&R Block client to apply.
Now, H&R Block 2012 – 2013 is going to be giving a very
lucky reader a $300 gift card so they can do some serious holiday shopping!
